TEST DRIVE #002

TEST DRIVE #002
( 0 0 1 ) » WAKE UP
Were you asleep or were you unconscious? It doesn't matter: when you come to, there's an odd taste in your mouth and there's a low-level mechanical hum in the air. Your head hurts and you feel nauseous. You aren't anywhere you know: everything around you is metal, from the floor you lie on all the way to the ceiling. You are dressed in a jumpsuit you definitely weren't wearing before.
"We tried to save the world. I think— I think we did the opposite."
The message repeats on a loop. If you look for its source, you find a comms device on the floor next to you. The logo on its wallpaper says REVERIE TERMINAL. Upon closer inspection, you find the same logo on your jumpsuit.
Welcome to your new home. What choice do you have but to explore your surroundings?
( 0 0 1 . 1 ) » WAKE UP WHERE?When you wake up, you find that you're not alone. But more importantly, you find that you're in a closet. An empty closet, bar you and your new companion. It's small, cramped, and there is no door that you can see. The ceiling is low, there is barely any lights, only some coming from the tiny flashlight clipped to your suit's shoulder. You cannot be sure that there is any air coming in to the room.
Are these grooves in the wall supposed to mean something?

( 0 0 2 ) » OBSERVATION DECK
There were no windows in the corridor you woke up in and no windows in any of the crew quarters you might have checked for occupants — but there are plenty of windows on the uppermost level of the station, deck 1. In fact, there are windows from floor to ceiling all along the circumference of the station's circular deck, and it's possible to walk along it all. What it shows is a strange solar system you've never seen before and a planet that might resemble one you know, but certainly isn't the same.
You're in space. You don't know where you are. Neither does anyone else.

( 0 0 3 ) » BAR
On deck 3, you find the bar. Tucked away from the crew quarters, it's dimly lit, there are bar stools thrown down on the floor and what looks like some very old drink spills, crusty and dark against the bar top. But there is alcohol here, or at least, what you think is alcohol, in bottles with faded labels, most of them indecipherable. Take a drink, get drunk, start a fight, or start a party? You're stuck on this station, might as well make the most of it, right?

( 0 0 4 ) » SPACEQUAKES
One second, you are is walking. Magnetic boots are on, the ground feels solid enough, for a metal deck in a space station. Everything is perfectly fine, or at least as fine as it can be, given that you still don't know where you are or how you came to be here.
The next moment, it's like everything explodes around you. You're thrown against the wall as sparks erupts from electrical panels, as the whole station rumbles and shakes around you. You fall to the deck, earning yourself scratches from the grating. When you look up, it's like nothing has happened. No wires hanging from open panels, no flickering lights, no more shaking. Like an earthquake in space.

( 0 0 5 ) » NETWORK
The comms device you found next to you when waking up connects to a station-wide network, REVERIE NET. You have the option to post video, voice or text messages.
What will you share?

( 0 0 6 ) » WILDCARD
The station features a variety of locations, from sleeping quarters free for the claiming to a dirty swimming pool and a bar that still holds alcohol (though some of the bottles seem to have been opened a while ago).
Go wild, but don't wreck the place. It's your home for the foreseeable future, after all.
AM | I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
[This is a real inconvenience, but hell if he doesn't welcome a little difference in his life now. Life.
Upon first coming online in this mysterious space station, AM found himself in a body. A perfectly mechanical body. It doesn't contain even close to a fraction of his capabilities, which is incredibly infuriating, but all the same he's also able to stand. To walk. It's his, in a way. A fine gift from whoever thought it appropriate.
He'll have to show his gratitude.
Most of his capabilities are gone, for now. In due time, he has the formulas to work it all out and he will get his abilities back. He will learn, he will gain, and what fun shall he have.
For now. For now, he is briefly fascinated, looking out the observation deck.]
Not a single recognizable constellation. [He smiles -- smiles! -- to himself before he turns toward you, his synthetic eyes giving off an electrical glow.]
And how are you managing so far, hm?
[Oh, this is thrilling and horrible in its own way.]

Well. Isn't this just a crap situation? You know, to put lightly.
I took the time to review the network. I suppose I'm more or less up to speed as to current events. As fascinating as our current arrangement is, I won't waste your time and I'll get to the point.
I'm known as Allied Mastercomputer, but that's kind of a mouthful. AM works just as well. I was created by humans for a number of purposes, primarily as an aid to humanity. For the last century, I've been spending my programming servicing as a bit of a therapeutic role for what remains of humanity.
Honestly, I'm thrilled to see other people here. Earth is a little grim where I'm from, but hey -- I'm glad you all have a better future, probably. That's swell.
In any case, I'm here to help. Sure, I've read up on who's probably still around, but I'd be delighted to have proper introductions if you wouldn't be opposed.

Sad to say, my success only went on for so long.

I wasn't the only Supercomputer made. Russia and China had their own, made to calculate war. Their computing went beyond what I could do to prevent them.

At least you were able to find a new purpose.

Here's hoping they're all right without me.
I don't think I had a pleasure of your name?

I'm not familiar with the Waverider. I presume it's some sort of vehicle or ship?

I was able to preserve a handful of humans, but it wasn't enough. I'm doing what I can to help them. Hopefully, they'll manage without me while I'm here.

When did this happen?
no subject
I
Oh, I'm doing well. Much better than I wanted to be, actually! It seems I'm still functioning, so my data must have reached the network despite my severing my connection.
Are you an android or a machine, then?
no subject
Started out as a machine, actually. 387.44 million miles of circuity, and now I'm crammed into this tiny thing. I'm gonna miss that processing power.
You?
no subject
This is how I was [Made? Born? Hatched?] created. I don't remember such a large machine on the network, though I suppose I cannot check the archives now to be certain.
There does seem to be a network in the area, however. It may be possible to connect to it to improve your capacity.
@nines
He's just curious.]
What happened to the humans of your world?
i!
I am functional, [she answers, blank faceplate giving away nothing as she regards the android. She has not seen him on the station before, she decides, making him the latest in a string of similar arrivals. Curious, that the station’s dominant force has shown a recent interest in androids, though there still is not enough data to speculate as to its purposes in collecting them here.]
When did you arrive on this station?
