TEST DRIVE #002

TEST DRIVE #002
( 0 0 1 ) » WAKE UP
Were you asleep or were you unconscious? It doesn't matter: when you come to, there's an odd taste in your mouth and there's a low-level mechanical hum in the air. Your head hurts and you feel nauseous. You aren't anywhere you know: everything around you is metal, from the floor you lie on all the way to the ceiling. You are dressed in a jumpsuit you definitely weren't wearing before.
"We tried to save the world. I think— I think we did the opposite."
The message repeats on a loop. If you look for its source, you find a comms device on the floor next to you. The logo on its wallpaper says REVERIE TERMINAL. Upon closer inspection, you find the same logo on your jumpsuit.
Welcome to your new home. What choice do you have but to explore your surroundings?
( 0 0 1 . 1 ) » WAKE UP WHERE?When you wake up, you find that you're not alone. But more importantly, you find that you're in a closet. An empty closet, bar you and your new companion. It's small, cramped, and there is no door that you can see. The ceiling is low, there is barely any lights, only some coming from the tiny flashlight clipped to your suit's shoulder. You cannot be sure that there is any air coming in to the room.
Are these grooves in the wall supposed to mean something?

( 0 0 2 ) » OBSERVATION DECK
There were no windows in the corridor you woke up in and no windows in any of the crew quarters you might have checked for occupants — but there are plenty of windows on the uppermost level of the station, deck 1. In fact, there are windows from floor to ceiling all along the circumference of the station's circular deck, and it's possible to walk along it all. What it shows is a strange solar system you've never seen before and a planet that might resemble one you know, but certainly isn't the same.
You're in space. You don't know where you are. Neither does anyone else.

( 0 0 3 ) » BAR
On deck 3, you find the bar. Tucked away from the crew quarters, it's dimly lit, there are bar stools thrown down on the floor and what looks like some very old drink spills, crusty and dark against the bar top. But there is alcohol here, or at least, what you think is alcohol, in bottles with faded labels, most of them indecipherable. Take a drink, get drunk, start a fight, or start a party? You're stuck on this station, might as well make the most of it, right?

( 0 0 4 ) » SPACEQUAKES
One second, you are is walking. Magnetic boots are on, the ground feels solid enough, for a metal deck in a space station. Everything is perfectly fine, or at least as fine as it can be, given that you still don't know where you are or how you came to be here.
The next moment, it's like everything explodes around you. You're thrown against the wall as sparks erupts from electrical panels, as the whole station rumbles and shakes around you. You fall to the deck, earning yourself scratches from the grating. When you look up, it's like nothing has happened. No wires hanging from open panels, no flickering lights, no more shaking. Like an earthquake in space.

( 0 0 5 ) » NETWORK
The comms device you found next to you when waking up connects to a station-wide network, REVERIE NET. You have the option to post video, voice or text messages.
What will you share?

( 0 0 6 ) » WILDCARD
The station features a variety of locations, from sleeping quarters free for the claiming to a dirty swimming pool and a bar that still holds alcohol (though some of the bottles seem to have been opened a while ago).
Go wild, but don't wreck the place. It's your home for the foreseeable future, after all.
clarke griffin | the 100
[clarke isn't a stranger to bring kidnapped and brought to a new place but that doesn't make it any less of a concerning when she abruptly wakes up. she feels dizzy, disoriented and it just barely registers with her that she has been stripped of her belongings only to be wearing a jumpsuit.
she can't seem to shake the feeling of deja vu either but slowly stands up and attempts to focus her eyes on her new surroundings. it was not only unsettling not knowing where she was but it only raised more questions she didn't know the answer to which frustrated her even more. was this connected? were the same people who took her before responsible for this? it was the start of many questions clarke was wondering as was attempting to puzzle out the situation in front of her.
she wasn't sure what to think but what she knew for sure was that she couldn't be alone, they had to have taken the others too. she glances over herself checking if they had done anything to her while she was unconscious and after a few moments, it's not long before clarke notices the strange device that was beside her which seems to be playing back a message on loop. it doesn't mean anything to her but she picks it up regardless and keeps it on her in case it's useful.
nothing about this place sits right with her and instead of accepting things as they are, she is determined to figure this out so the first thing she does is venture further down the hall in hopes of getting some answers because the first priority right now making sure her people were safe too. he tries to remain cautious but whether she sees you from a distance or you happen to pass by her, she will call out doesn't hesitate to approach] Hey— are you from here?
( 0 0 4 ) » OBSERVATION DECK
[it was almost ironic being back up in space but it was familiar territory at least even if this wasn't exactly the ark since the view outside wasn't exactly of earth. she had already explored most sections of this place only to end up with more questions instead of answer and she didn't have much luck finding her friends either.
she finds herself by the observation desk taking a breather to process the situation and figure out what she should do next because by this point she has come to learn she isn't the only one who was brought here unknowingly against their will. it doesn't take her too long to realize she wasn't the only one with that thought as she turns to the person beside her trying to strike up casual conversation] What do you think of the view?
( 0 0 5 ) » NETWORK
[it's been a couple of days now but she still feels just as wary if not more so than when she arrived especially since this seems like a step backwards by being back in space yet again. despite that she is trying her best and she knows that using this communicator is a good start as any even it's just to test to waters]
un: clarke
hey. i have never really used anything like this before but my name is clarke griffin.
i've been told using this is probably my best shot in getting some answers or alternatively talking with and getting to know more people here so i figured i'd give it a try. i'm still trying to wrap my head around being here but i have a couple of questions and things i want to know:
1. who is in charge here and how can i speak with them?
2. do there maps of this place exist that I can get a hold of?
3. how long have you been here? if it is not too intrusive, i would like to hear about people's experiences here or anything that you have found out about this place if you are willing to share that too.
lastly if skaikru means anything to you or sounds familiar just let me know. [her words served the dual purpose of learning more about this place while trying to determine a pattern but more importantly the last part was a pointed callout to hear friends if they happen to hear this]

[choose your own adventure! i am good with any of the other scenarios otherwise just let me know if you want anything else!]
un:millerlite
1. You won't find anyone around here who wants to take that crapass title.
2. You're welcome. Don't say I never did anything for ya
3. About 3 months so far. It's a regular party.
no subject
it figures that no one would own up to being in charge though. i'm guessing no one has any leads on that either? and would three months be the longest anyone has been here?
no subject
The Station's in charge. And it's gearing up to fuck with us all again real soon so get ready.
no subject
the station can't be what is in change. [she is totally still skeptical over here. it is not logical!!] how would it exactly do that? what's happened before to make you think that?
no subject
no subject
i'm not so sure i want to get used to it. i mean, shouldn't we be focusing on trying to find a way back to our homes?

the dog is immediately all over her, sniffing curiously at the person he's never seen before. even if he didn't suspect it, max would confirm clarke as a new arrival by his actions, already begging her for pets. ]
You're not shy, are you, Max?
[ frank just shakes his head like a weary dad, calling the dog back with a motion of his hand rather than an order. the dog understands and backs up then sits on his haunches beside the man. ]
No one's from here. Uh, did you just wake up?
no subject
she had read mentions of them in stories and even seen pictures but she had never seen one before now either. she can't help but look in slight awe at first but from his friendly nature as he curiously sniffs her, she reaches over to pet him momentarily] Hey Max, it's nice to meet you.
[she looks over towards frank as max heads back over towards him and she just nods] Yeah, I just woke up here. I'm guessing that it's the same for everyone I'm going to run into here?
no subject
I think he's saying 'you too' just so long as you keep that up.
[ frank nods, glad she's picking up things quickly. he really doesn't have the energy to keep giving these rundowns. ]
You ever been in space before? [ he still has to ask ]
no subject
Yeah, that's definitely not a first for me. I grew up on a space station for most of my life but this is definitely not the Ark.
no subject
no subject
Wait, really— so it would be a first for most people here then? [she is mostly curious than anything else not to mention she hasn't learned about the multiverse part of all this yet]
004 omg forgive me for him
( it doesn't help that he's seen it every day for the past few months. he's getting tired of waking up and seeing these same fucking stars and that same fucking planet. he wants to fucking be done with this place but apparently, his shitty life and luck has other plans. )
You're not going to start waxing poetic about stars and the vastness of space, are you?
lmao it's all good ♥
It's a bit different since we're not orbiting Earth but I know not all people are used to it like I am with being from space and besides this is the observation deck. [you know, where people do actually come to look at the view so what is your problem kovacs!!]
Re: lmao it's all good ♥
It's the same stars you're going to be seeing for however the fuck long you're here. They lose their mysticism quick.
( but he'd never been a fan in the first place. being off the ground just reminded him of meths. )
I'd suggest the bar. At least there the empty bottles actually change on a daily fucking basis.
sorry for the delay!
it's all good!
( because, believe him, he fucking agrees. )
There's nowhere else exciting on this station unless you wanna work on opening fucking doors.
no subject
Working on opening the doors? Isn't that what we should be focusing on if we want to get home?

Did something happen in the cryopod? To your head?

i don't know what you're talking about but the alliance is broken. if that's meant to be a joke, it's not very funny.

I'm not trying to be funny...
