TEST DRIVE #002

TEST DRIVE #002
( 0 0 1 ) » WAKE UP
Were you asleep or were you unconscious? It doesn't matter: when you come to, there's an odd taste in your mouth and there's a low-level mechanical hum in the air. Your head hurts and you feel nauseous. You aren't anywhere you know: everything around you is metal, from the floor you lie on all the way to the ceiling. You are dressed in a jumpsuit you definitely weren't wearing before.
"We tried to save the world. I think— I think we did the opposite."
The message repeats on a loop. If you look for its source, you find a comms device on the floor next to you. The logo on its wallpaper says REVERIE TERMINAL. Upon closer inspection, you find the same logo on your jumpsuit.
Welcome to your new home. What choice do you have but to explore your surroundings?
( 0 0 1 . 1 ) » WAKE UP WHERE?When you wake up, you find that you're not alone. But more importantly, you find that you're in a closet. An empty closet, bar you and your new companion. It's small, cramped, and there is no door that you can see. The ceiling is low, there is barely any lights, only some coming from the tiny flashlight clipped to your suit's shoulder. You cannot be sure that there is any air coming in to the room.
Are these grooves in the wall supposed to mean something?

( 0 0 2 ) » OBSERVATION DECK
There were no windows in the corridor you woke up in and no windows in any of the crew quarters you might have checked for occupants — but there are plenty of windows on the uppermost level of the station, deck 1. In fact, there are windows from floor to ceiling all along the circumference of the station's circular deck, and it's possible to walk along it all. What it shows is a strange solar system you've never seen before and a planet that might resemble one you know, but certainly isn't the same.
You're in space. You don't know where you are. Neither does anyone else.

( 0 0 3 ) » BAR
On deck 3, you find the bar. Tucked away from the crew quarters, it's dimly lit, there are bar stools thrown down on the floor and what looks like some very old drink spills, crusty and dark against the bar top. But there is alcohol here, or at least, what you think is alcohol, in bottles with faded labels, most of them indecipherable. Take a drink, get drunk, start a fight, or start a party? You're stuck on this station, might as well make the most of it, right?

( 0 0 4 ) » SPACEQUAKES
One second, you are is walking. Magnetic boots are on, the ground feels solid enough, for a metal deck in a space station. Everything is perfectly fine, or at least as fine as it can be, given that you still don't know where you are or how you came to be here.
The next moment, it's like everything explodes around you. You're thrown against the wall as sparks erupts from electrical panels, as the whole station rumbles and shakes around you. You fall to the deck, earning yourself scratches from the grating. When you look up, it's like nothing has happened. No wires hanging from open panels, no flickering lights, no more shaking. Like an earthquake in space.

( 0 0 5 ) » NETWORK
The comms device you found next to you when waking up connects to a station-wide network, REVERIE NET. You have the option to post video, voice or text messages.
What will you share?

( 0 0 6 ) » WILDCARD
The station features a variety of locations, from sleeping quarters free for the claiming to a dirty swimming pool and a bar that still holds alcohol (though some of the bottles seem to have been opened a while ago).
Go wild, but don't wreck the place. It's your home for the foreseeable future, after all.

Haru isn't expecting anyone else in the garden when she drops by today. For a moment she actually has to double-take. Yusuke? No, no Yusuke. This person looks just slightly different.]
Um, hello...?
[Cautious, trying not to startle him.]
no subject
He is not startled by the sound of a voice, figuring that he would eventually run into someone. Someone had to be tending to this garden, after all. Even though he's not startled, he does immediately make himself smaller upon hearing the voice, almost as if he were somewhere he were not supposed to be.]
Ah, hello. Is this... your garden? Sorry, I was just looking.
[He steps away from the plants then, not wanting to intrude.]
no subject
[The garden is a shared resource between everyone, so Haru may be the cause of the garden...but the people here are what help her keep it running.]
I haven't seen you before, are you new?
no subject
Yes, I just woke up here not long ago.
[He isn't sure if he should bring up the Persona thing though now, since the last person he brought it up to didn't really seem too happy about it.]
You would not have heard of someone named Tatsuya around here, would you?
no subject
Oh, dear. Then you must be incredibly confused.
[She won't deny it if he brings it up, only a Persona user would know another Persona user.]
I'm afraid not, I apologize.
no subject
Yes, I can say that I am. [With EASE. Confused, a little scared still,
blaming himself, among other things.]Oh... I guess he's really not here, then. [If two other Persona users didn't know him by now, he was really not on this station. Probably? Jun held on to some small modicum of hope.]
I heard this place was called 'Reverie Terminal', and I know that it's in space, but how did I come to be here?
no subject
[She wont delve too deep if the other doesn't want to. But she can't help but be curious. She knows that she feels better having her friends around, this guy probably would too.]
Yes, this is Reverie Terminal...in space. None of us quite know yet how we came to be here. Which isn't very helpful to the confusion.
I'm Haru Okumura, by the way. It's a pleasure.
no subject
He is a Persona user, like us.
[Trying to just brush past that and hoping that this girl didn't get tense, Jun just straightened up his posture before giving her a proper bow.]
I am Jun Kurosu, it is a pleasure to meet you, Okumura-san.
no subject
[She doesn't get tense. Naoya already prepared her for other Persona users outside of her own friends knowing that she had these powers. She was just so used to resonating with her friends that she hadn't even considered that there could be others.]
If he were here, we would definitely know it. I apologize again, Jun-san.
[She returns his bow.]
no subject
I appreciate it, truly.
[He just hoped that this whole thing was not his own fault somehow. And maybe not related to Philemon or Nyarlathotep.]
Hm. Sunflowers and peace lilies. What an odd combination...
Life.
...And death?
no subject
[She runs fingertips lightly across both flowers. So beautiful, yet they hold such a heavy meaning. The balance between the two things is so unstable. Especially in an unfamiliar place such as this.]
Do you enjoy gardening, Jun-san?
no subject
[Jun nods at the question then, his arms crossing over his chest.]
I am quite fond of flowers. Their scent, the way that they grow, and the secret meanings they hold...
[Truly, sunflowers and lilies mean many more things. Not only life and death, but things like longevity, devotion, sympathy, loyalty... ]
It translates easily into caring for them.
no subject
[Tending this garden has literally been the only thing keeping her mind off of the horrors of this station. So to find someone else with an appreciation for the same... it makes her smile.]
You can help me tend the garden whenever you like, no pressure of course.
no subject
[The weather is controlled, after all. It wasn't as if seasons would affect them.]
I... would like that, I think. Thank you.
no subject
[She smiles at him...]
And I certainly wouldn't mind someone else helping along with that.
no subject
Thank you, you are very kind to say so. I will help to look after this garden, and keep an eye out for any way we could potentially grow some vegetables...
Sunflower seeds are edible, at the least.
no subject
I believe I already have some growing, as to what they are... we don't know yet. I need a few more weeks to determine it.
The sunflowers are looking really healthy though, it gives me hope.
