not really? i never had a lot of friends, so i never really thought about dating at all. it just never seemed important.

i mean it still doesn't seem important in the scheme of things, but there's more time to think about it. i guess being in life-threatening situations does that to people, huh?

I can understand that. It sorta gets put on the back burner if you're not thinking about it, and on top of that if you're in life-threatening situations it can just stay there.

Then again other people react to the same thing the opposite way, looking for a reaffirmation. Like, if you can date and find a small piece of happiness then the world looks brighter and can go on, you know? We have a lot of time on our hands here.

Oh, I see! Yeah, that's totally something to worry about of course, but I guess I just don't put as much stock in letting that hold me back, too. One of my friends theorized that this could be it for us too - with that in mind, wouldn't it make you more apt to reach out to someone you like?
