There's not really a right or a wrong way. [ to friendship. though other than billy none of his friends ever beat the shit out of him like that before. the thing was though? he'd needed it. he thinks she did too. ]

Do you think you'll hate me someday?

No. I can't think of anything that would make me hate you. Why?

Because there's something wrong with me. There always has been. Whenever people find out about it, they hate me. It's why I always have to leave... except this time there's nowhere left to run. It'd be nice if it didn't come to that again.

As long as you don't ever hurt Karen, we're not gonna have a problem. You know what I am, too. Maybe we're not so different.

I'll never hurt Karen. I have too much control now to ever hurt someone I cared for. I used to. Most of the time I just feel empty now.

Only if you killed Matthew which I think is about as likely as me doing it. [She isn't blind to the fact there's clearly a bond there.] I think I would prefer that. He'd hate me less if I never felt this way at all.

I couldn't kill him when he was in the way of what I needed to do most, so no, I couldn't kill him now. And neither could you. That's a good thing, Elektra.

I know and I wouldn't change it even if I could. Sometimes I wish he didn't have so much power over me.

I let our father talk me into distracting him from his schoolwork and normal life with my feminine wiles. Granted I ended up falling in love with him and ruining Stick's plan instead, but all the same. Hardly my finest hour.

I told him as soon as it came out that we shared the same master. I may have started our relationship to please Stick, but my feelings were always real. He was the first person I ever truly loved. I didn't want him to think it was all a lie.
