HOW TO PLAY:

-Post a top level for your character
-Comment around to other top levels
-Characters ICly ask questions, and those being asked are forced to answer them truthfully
-If you want, you can even have your characters compelled to ask what's on their minds, if they need that extra push to ask something
-Have fun, be urselves, ilu reverie

A simplified explanation, but acceptable. That is half my heritage. My father is a vampire.

Is "magic" just a blanket explanation to why anything impossible happens?

No, that's ridiculous. There is something of a science to magic in itself, but explaining is just incredibly tedious to someone who has no magical capacity.

It is not as if I can teach someone magic like I can teach them science. Anyone has the ability to understand and work with science, given enough time

The same cannot be said for magic. It is a born gift.
