[ that fitz thinks there's any cleverness to be found in all those words that john spills out would please and flatter him immensely. he's long since abandoned the concept of properly thinking out the things he says out loud, rather preferring to put his most eloquent thoughts to paper rather than anywhere else. otherwise, he'd spend too much of his life thinking and not just chattering, and that would be no good at all.
