It's when he's shoved onto his side that Peter jolts awake with a gasp. His head jerks around, eyes wide as they dart about erratically. When he spots the woman above him, Peter is jerking back.

And not getting very far, of course; his back thumps with the wall. He scrambles for purchase before he finally manages to his feet.

"Who--" Peter swallows hard, trying to gather his thoughts. With all of his might, he tries to keep his voice from trembling: "What is going on here?"
