( 0 0 1 ) » WAKE UP

Were you asleep or were you unconscious? It doesn't matter: when you come to, there's an odd taste in your mouth and there's a low-level mechanical hum in the air. Your head hurts and you feel nauseous. You aren't anywhere you know: everything around you is metal, from the floor you lie on all the way to the ceiling. You are dressed in a jumpsuit you definitely weren't wearing before.

"We tried to save the world. I think— I think we did the opposite."

The message repeats on a loop. If you look for its source, you find a comms device on the floor next to you. The logo on its wallpaper says REVERIE TERMINAL. Upon closer inspection, you find the same logo on your jumpsuit.

Welcome to your new home. What choice do you have but to explore your surroundings?

( 0 0 1 . 1 ) » WAKE UP WHERE?

When you wake up, you find that you're not alone. But more importantly, you find that you're in a closet. An empty closet, bar you and your new companion. It's small, cramped, and there is no door that you can see. The ceiling is low, there is barely any lights, only some coming from the tiny flashlight clipped to your suit's shoulder. You cannot be sure that there is any air coming in to the room.

Are these grooves in the wall supposed to mean something?

( 0 0 2 ) » OBSERVATION DECK

There were no windows in the corridor you woke up in and no windows in any of the crew quarters you might have checked for occupants — but there are plenty of windows on the uppermost level of the station, deck 1. In fact, there are windows from floor to ceiling all along the circumference of the station's circular deck, and it's possible to walk along it all. What it shows is a strange solar system you've never seen before and a planet that might resemble one you know, but certainly isn't the same.

You're in space. You don't know where you are. Neither does anyone else.

On deck 3, you find the bar. Tucked away from the crew quarters, it's dimly lit, there are bar stools thrown down on the floor and what looks like some very old drink spills, crusty and dark against the bar top. But there is alcohol here, or at least, what you think is alcohol, in bottles with faded labels, most of them indecipherable. Take a drink, get drunk, start a fight, or start a party? You're stuck on this station, might as well make the most of it, right?

( 0 0 4 ) » SPACEQUAKES

One second, you are is walking. Magnetic boots are on, the ground feels solid enough, for a metal deck in a space station. Everything is perfectly fine, or at least as fine as it can be, given that you still don't know where you are or how you came to be here.

The next moment, it's like everything explodes around you. You're thrown against the wall as sparks erupts from electrical panels, as the whole station rumbles and shakes around you. You fall to the deck, earning yourself scratches from the grating. When you look up, it's like nothing has happened. No wires hanging from open panels, no flickering lights, no more shaking. Like an earthquake in space.

The station features a variety of locations, from sleeping quarters free for the claiming to a dirty swimming pool and a bar that still holds alcohol (though some of the bottles seem to have been opened a while ago).

Go wild, but don't wreck the place. It's your home for the foreseeable future, after all.

[ Kanan isn't alone at the observation deck, Bodhi is standing a few feet away from the solitary figure. He doesn't give him a second look, until the other man speaks and then he notices the mask covering his eyes.

it's not like Kanan can see the look of confusion that passes over his own face when he asks - ]

What do you mean by that?

[ though it's not like he's wrong about that, or anything. ]

It's helpful to know - and to know that no one else knows where we are.

[ Kanan pauses in thought for a moment. ]

No other space traffic at all?

[ Kanan turns his head in the direction of the stranger's voice - more to show the man that he's listening than anything else. ]

I don't feel any of the things that I should be feeling. I can't sense the people I should sense. It's wrong. Hard to explain.

Sure thing, pretty boy.

[ dutch prefers 'pretty boy' for him. not just because he really is pretty, but because it's a way to keep her distance, too, at least for now. not physically, of course. physically, she's getting close quickly enough, avoiding the punch and aiming a jab at his stomach in return, quick and light on her feet. ]

Maintenance droids? [ Anything mechanical automatically gets his interest. More so than the spacequake that just happened. ]

We don't have those where I'm from. And Newtech City is pretty into new tech. Maybe we're not supposed to have maintenance droids. Manual labor builds character.

[ it's also hard to understand, and Bodhi wants to question it further. instead, he goes for he simpler of remarks, among that statement. ]

Who are you trying to sense?

[ he doesn't know everyone on the station, and some have left already, but. ]

There are things droids can do better than any organic person.

[ Kanan shrugs. ]

And space station operations are usually automated - something is very wrong here.

[ He doesn't expect this stranger to know who or what Phoenix Squadron is, he just needs to say it aloud. ]

Even when we're apart, I can always find them. Except here.

[ it takes a second, but - he does recall the name. unfortunately, the news isn't really great. ]

Phoenix Squadron? You wouldn't happen to know an Ezra Bridger, would you? He was here. I met him - before he disappeared, a few months ago.

Ezra was here?

[ That - that secures Kanan's interest fully. He raises his eyebrows. ]

So people are here and then disappear?

[onlydoubts]

For a little while, yes. [ Bodhi shrugs, hands wide. he had liked Ezra, from their brief conversation. ]

I don't know how, but people that are brought can sometimes disappear.

[ ... ]

Oh, absolutely. [ That's the last thing Bridge is going to argue about. ]

Sophie, she's an android from home, or Earth, or Newtech City. D Squad. She's the best. Maybe not the best enough for A Squad, or even B Squad, but she'll get there.

[ He cocks his head to the side, suddenly latching onto the man's second statement. ]

You're from the future, aren't you?

Nope. And most people around here aren't used to space travel being a normal thing. They're also not used to sentients other than humans. It's weird.

[And they said mean things about his cat, which is the worst part.]

You don't need to be sorry. It's good to know, actually - presumably, these people return home?

Uh, future compared to what, exactly? Can't say I've ever heard of a planet called Earth.

Ooh, or another galaxy. Oh, this is so cool.

[ He's seemingly forgotten all about the fact that they're in a creepy space station that shakes without warning and doesn't seem to be working properly. Instead, he's fiddling with his gloves. ]

Earth's in the Milky Way Galaxy, which probably isn't called that where you're from. Where are you from? What's it like? Do you have a lot of space stations there?

[ Kanan hasn't forgotten, not by a long shot, but he'll entertain this guy's questions for the moment - he's capable of doing that and searching with his senses through the Force for any oddities to take note of, at least. ]

We don't have a name for it. It's just the galaxy. It's big, lots of planets, lots of sentient species. And there are a few space stations, though most people live on planets, and just use space ships for traveling.

That is pretty weird. And there's no way off this station that anyone's been able to find? No shuttles or anything?

Not that I remember. Maybe something's changed in the time that's passed? But only a few of us would know how to fly one anyways.

I think so? Someone mentioned that they went home and came back and it was as if months had passed, but only a few days here.

[ at least, he hopes that much. that they go home. while he knows what waits for him, he wants to help others get back there to their lives. they just need to figure out how. ]

[ Of course they are. Unless someone has led so unlucky a life for this to not be the first time they were kidnapped to a strange space station with no recollection of how or why... Hopefully there's no one here with such a fate. ]

How can I help? [ It's the public servant in her, the desire to provide aid to others already settling in strong. ] I already have every intention of continuing my investigation into all the mysteries here, but if there's something more I can do, then I want to.

[ For the first time, a hint of a smile touches his face. ]

Good question. I guess a little over a standard month? But when I checked the holonet, all the records made it sound like it had been almost 4 months since we all got here. But with everything else, that actually doesn't feel that weird.
