Thankfully, she's good at staying (mostly) calm in situations like this. She's been kidnapped enough times now that it feels like routine. So instead of trying to get a feel for the space they're confined in, she watches the wall and what his hand is doing. She hears the wall shift and she steps forward to try and press her ear in as close as she can.

"Karen," she answers him softly, almost distractedly as she tries to focus.

While she has no problem getting behind him if she absolutely needs to, her drive to obtain information has her trying to be a little more active. She can hear something out beyond the wall that's keeping them confined, and reaches up to place a hand on his arm to steady him.

"Whatever is out there, it sounds mechanical. I think it's safe to try leaving."
