Immersive VR is commercial and ubiquitous where I'm from.

Normally, nothing. But being unconscious while logged in opens up massive vulnerabilities and it's a great way to get your account stolen, think someone hijacking your virtual body and walking it around doing whatever they want while you're asleep.

I doubt account THEFT is a problem with these sets since we're the only ones here, but the vulnerabilities could very easily still be there, and there are a lot of nasty possibilities. Junk sensory data giving you strange dreams and false memories is the most benign. Logout difficulties. Maybe physical injury, with how old and worn these are I wouldn't trust them not to burn you or emit harmful radiation or something. Involuntary physical motion, falling, head injuries, etc.
