I don't like being mean to people, and I really want to be friends with everyone I've met here. That includes you.

...but sometimes, I also want to push you? I want to see what you're really like, because I know I haven't seen it yet. And since I don't think there's really any chance you'll ever like me, I'm worried it might actually come down to that someday.

Most people have facets of themselves they don't display to everyone. Because of that, people hold their own beliefs about the "real" face of someone. There's no way someone can be objective about something like that.

Consequently, there's really no point to pushing me except to satisfy your own curiosity, right?

Huh. I guess I hadn't thought about it like that? I don't really believe it, though. I mean, maybe you don't speak with people you're "not fond" of? But I totally believe you speak to people that you aren't actively fond of. You know?
