Connor watched on patiently as Alucard slipped his coat off. The strain didn't go by unnoticed and his neutral expression slid into one of quiet concern. He stepped a little closer and slowly tilted his head to get a better look at the injury, immediately piecing together the probable weapon that had caused the injury, how it was wielded, and the likely position Alucard had been in when it had occurred. He was missing a lot of details, so his reconstruction was a lot less certain than he would like, but he had a decent idea of what might have occurred.

"What would happen if you do not heal soon?" He asked quietly, still examining the injury from where he was, "Consuming the amount of blood you have available to you is... maintaining your current condition? But not improving it? Is there a complication with the wound?"

If humans maintained a healthy diet, they would heal unless there was some other factors involved that were slowing or preventing proper recovery. There was little reason to think that Alucard's body wouldn't work similarly.
